Yuma Marine Corps Air Station Asphalt Repairs

Project Description

This project, located at Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, was awarded to West Point Contractors, Inc. (WPC) as an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, Task Order numbers 001 and 0004, for NAVFAC Southwest. WPC was tasked with surveying, designing, and repairing parking areas and streets. WPC created and implemented an extensive safety plan that account for the  protection of the public and maintaining an effective traffic control plan. WPC also provided Quality Assurance/Quality Control plans, reports and management, which met the high standards required by the client.

Scope of Work

The scope consisted of providing all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, technical supervision and other items and services to perform inspections, abatements, installations and repairs the Building 328 East Parking Lot, Building 170 Parking Lot, Halstead Avenue, Alward Avenue and the parking lot at Building 633. Construction was completed all while coordinating and maintaining access to critical base buildings and operations. WPC performed lead abatement, installation and repairs to all items listed as Taxiway Alpha and Alpha 1 seal coat with GSB specialized slurry for airfield runways, Taxiway Kilo and Lima Seal, Re-stripe Taxiway Charlie and Bravo Markings, re-stripe fire lane markings and repair compass rose pad.
