NEW Contract Award! FAA BOA holder for the Small Western Service Area

The FAA has the requirement for Design/Build (D/B) and Bid/Build (B/B) services construction required by the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Facilities and other programs necessary to perform its mission and will be utilized for the following programs: EnRoute Facilities Planning and Modernization and Program, Terminal Facilities Planning and Execution Program and additional programs supporting NAS facilities, such as Mobile Assets Management (MAMP), Facility Security and Risk Management (FSRM), Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) and OPS Sustainment.

West Point is one of five awardees of the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Contract Number: 697DCK-23-G-00046 for Design/Build construction services for the FAA. This is a ten-year, $999,000,000 contract for work throughout the Small Western Service Area.

 This contract will support The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law which provides a total of $5B in funding ($1B per year over five years) to upgrade the foundation of the FAA’s air traffic control. The work at buildings and equipment upgrades around the country are creating jobs for local suppliers, construction workers and communities.

Current major projects include new construction and renovations and critical infrastructure backlog projects, which include but are not limited to:

  • Roofing and waterproofing
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • HVAC systems
  • Fire Sprinkler and Alarm
  • Drywall
  • Site Improvements
  • Life safety issues

Various types of facilities are included in the BOA – among them ARTCCS (facilities responsible for controlling aircraft); CCFs (manage aircraft arrivals and departures); CERAP (manages aircraft arrivals and departures); ATCTs; base buildings, TRACONS, Communication Towers and RADAR Towers, among others.
